The Chicago Lovescarfers are in the House!

Yesterday, the Chicago Lovescarfers had something to celebrate! We reached our goal: 100 hand knitted scarves for the Lovescarf Project! (actually we have 107!) We celebrated with a beautiful cake made by our dear friend, JA! These girls learned how to knit in February and set the goal of 100 scarves. I am so proud and so pleased. Way to go, girls! Thank you also for the contributions we received from some of their mothers, ward members, a few store employees and Kage's friend in Chicago.

Almost wondered why you would put a scarf on the cake. Amazing! Great project!

I love the picture with all the girls, and I'm so glad we had such a great turnout yesterday! If it's okay, I think I'll make a copy of that photo for myself! So cute!

Congratulations YW and leaders! With the youth being so active in many areas it takes real commitment to accomplish service. You have taught them a skill that they can use in their daily lives. Keep on clickin' girls. Our love scarves ship to NY this week. I haven't totaled ours yet. I had scarves from 3 knitters on my porch this morning. It is a great cause. The cake is adorable!

That cake is crazy cute, as are the girls! What a fabulous and worthy effort--something the girls can take pride in and something that benefits others. You are a great mentor!
