Not reading a Mary Higgins Clark book in the summer would be like going to the ballpark and not having a hot dog! It's a must! My mother loaned me MHC's latest: "Just Take My Heart". I loved it. It contains all the essential Mary Higgins Clark ingredients: good looking, successful people; prosecutors; district attorneys; New Jersey and Manhatten settings; serial killers; lies; cover-ups etc. One summer I was reading a MHC upstairs in my room. It had turned dark outside and I was coming down the stairs and a male friend of ours was standing at our open glass door. I let out a blood curdling scream when I saw him! "Sorry, " I said. "I'm reading a Mary Higgins Clark".

Hahaha. A book opens up, you fall in :)
Need to get this one. Am looking for a good summer read.
I love her books! Sometimes they feel like a guilty pleasure because they are so fun and easy, but then not really . . . much better than a typical guilty pleasure.
